Workshop: How to Get Motivated for Healthy Living and Weight Loss
Everyone who has ever tried to get healthy or lose weight can relate to this story:
You start out super motivated. You’re focused, excited, and energized by the process.
Then, slowly but surely, the passion starts to dip. Distractions creep in. And soon, you’re back to where you started.
If that’s where you are right now—relying on white-knuckle willpower—we can help!
During our upcoming workshop, we’ll lead you through a step-by-step process to:
- Identify what you truly value in life
- Align your health goals with these motivating priorities
- Empower you to repeatedly tap into these deep pools of inspiration
- Make healthy living feel more natural and sustainable
Long-term health and weight loss don’t come from a carrots-and-sticks approach (although a few carrots never hurt).

Michelle Jones is the Program Coordinator for the Ardmore Institute of Health. Michelle received her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Southern Adventist University and joined the Ardmore Institute of Health’s staff shortly after. She has written multiple articles and has been instrumental in fine-tuning the Full Plate Living programs to make healthy living principles practical and more accessible no matter where you’re at in your health journey. Michelle personally experienced the power of lifestyle medicine when she was diagnosed with PCOS in her early 20s. Using a high-fiber diet, regular exercise routine, stress-reducing techniques, and proper sleep habits, she was able to sustainably lose weight, reverse the effects of PCOS, and lead a healthy life for the last 20 years. Michelle loves to create yummy recipes and share pictures of how she’s adding fiber foods to her plate. You can find her on weekends hiking local trails and creating delicious meals at home with her husband and daughter.
