This black bean patty is great addition to any meal, stuffed in a pita, or as a burger.
Ingredients
1 15 oz can black beans low-sodium, rinsed and drainedDirections
Place the slice of whole wheat bread in the food processor and pulse until you have bread crumbs. Put bread crumbs in a medium sized bowl.
Rinse and drain the beans and pat try with a paper towel. Put the beans in the food processor and pulse until beans are chopped. Make sure you do not over process these. Add the beans to the bowl of bread crumbs.
Add the onion, red pepper, parsley, garlic powder, coriander, cumin, and salt and mix well.
Make six patties from the mixture.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat and cook the patties about 3 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked well.
