Lettuce Wraps

Asian lettuce wraps are savory with a crisp crunch.


1/2 teaspoon canola oil
2 teaspoons sesame seed oil
1/4 cup onion diced
3 each green onions sliced
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 cup carrots shredded
1/4 cup water chestnuts sliced small
5 ounces tofu water packed, x-firm
1 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium
1 tablespoon honey
8 romaine lettuce leaves


In a large skillet sauteĢ the onion, garlic, green onion, carrots, tofu, vegetarian burger crumbles, water chestnuts, canola and sesame oil for 5 minutes. Stir in the soy sauce and honey and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Let the mixture cool before adding 1/4 cup to each lettuce leaf.
