Tangy Green Beans
Easy to make and delicious to boot this tangy side dish is perfect for any Italian meal.
Ingredients2 pounds green beans fresh, trimmed
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 medium green onions sliced
Boil beans in a covered dish for 15 minutes, then drain and place in a large bowl.
Whisk together the lemon juice, lemon rind, salt, pepper and olive oil, then pour over beans. Add onions and basil and toss to coat.
Yield: 8 Servings
