Presenter Biography

Dr. Tollefson is a prominent figure in women's lifestyle medicine. She holds board certifications in lifestyle medicine and obstetrics/gynecology in Colorado. She is a Professor in the Health Professions Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver and is the Lead Faculty for the Blue Zones and American College of Lifestyle Medicine Certification for Physicians and Health Professionals.

Dr. Tollefson serves on the non-profit executive board, PAVING the Path to Wellness. Her editorial leadership includes the textbook Improving Women’s Health Across the Lifespan and co-authorship of PAVING a Woman’s Path through Menopause and Beyond alongside Drs. Frates and Comander.

Dr. Tollefson was one of the first physicians trained as a health and wellness coach and is renowned internationally as a speaker and women’s health consultant. A dedicated mother of three, she is also a breast cancer survivor and advocate for thriving through adversity.

Specializing in evidence-based practices, Dr. Tollefson empowers women to thrive during and after menopause through healthy lifestyle strategies such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep hygiene, and fostering social connections.
